Tomohiro Tachi

The University of Tokyo

Tomohiro Tachi is a professor of Arts & Sciences at the University of Tokyo. His expertise is in computational origami and structural morphology. He has led workshops at AAG 2010 (co-organized with Gregory Epps) on “One DOF linkage manipulation using rigid origami” based on curved folding, at AAG 2014 (co-organized with Duks Koschitz, Yusuke Oono, and Daniel Piker) on “Tessellated Flexible Surface” dealing with auxetic structures, and at IASS 2018 (co-organized with Niels De Temmerman) on structural morphology. He is involved in STEAM education at the School of Arts and Sciences, University of Tokyo.
